Trouble-shooting
Problem Possible cause
The ice cream is not rm after 30
minutes.
- The ice cream bowls have not been in
the freezer for a sufciently long period
(in order to obtain the best result, the ice
cream bowls should be kept at least 8
hours in the freezer and preferably 18
hours).
- The maximum limit has been exceeded
(maximum amount 7.5 dl).
- The ingredients are too warm/have room
temperature.
- The ice cream bowls have been kept
at room temperature for more than 5
minutes before use.
- The freezer has been opened too many
times during the freezing process of the
ice cream bowls.
- The bowls have a thick coating of ice.
NOTE: Be sure to wipe the bowls properly
before you put them back in the freezer.
The ice cream maker stops before the
ice cream is ready.
- Chocolate chips, crushed nuts etc. were
added too early. The ice cream shall be in
the maker for at least 5 minutes (or when
the mixture has begun to freeze), before
adding the ingredients.
- The chocolate chips/nuts are too big,
which means that the mixer blade gets
stuck.
- Do not add more than one cup of these
ingredients.
The ice cream bowls have got scratches. - If you use metallic utensils, the bowls may
be scratched. We recommend always
to use wooden or plastic utensils in the
bowls.
The ice cream is too stiff. - If the ice cream is kept in the freezer for a
while, the ice cream gets very hard and it
can be difcult to take it out of the bowls.
Let the ice cream defrost for a couple of
minutes before serving.
